The government of India has plans for solar energy. The government has taken the challenge where close to 175 GW worth of renewable energy will be installed by the end of the 2022 calendar year. This 175 GW of energy is divided by 5 GW of hydropower, 60 GW worth of wind power, 100 GW of solar energy, and 10 GW generated from bio-power. This shows the government is more interested in solar energy than other resources because the availability of heat and sunlight in India creates a perfect place to apply solar panels.
