In 1997, detonators were first manufactured by Promoters of Economic Explosives Ltd. In addition, in 1997 the owners of thermal power plant in India started manufacturing the non-explosive components used to produce detonators. Beginning in the year 2000, the founders of Solar Capitals Ltd began producing explosives in large quantities.
