An increasing number of commercial enterprises and residential communities are inclining towards solar power. Because several globally renowned public speakers focus heavily on its advantages in their talks.

1. Denis Hayes

Time magazine has considered this passionate environmentalist, author, and speaker as one amongst 100 Heroes for the Planet. Other organizations, such as the Natural Resources Council of America, the Humane Society of the United States, National Wildlife Federation, Sierra Club, and American Solar Energy Society, too have honoured him. Hayes is the first Earth Day’s National Coordinator and continues to be its Foundation President. His team’s most recent contribution to the world is Bullitt Center, the path-breaking, greenest commercial construction in the world.

2. Jonathon Porritt

From 1974 until 1991, he was the Director of Friends of the Earth. Along with Sara and Paul Ekins, he set up the Forum for the Future in 1994. This Forum helps the civil community, governmental agencies and businesses to contribute towards a sustainable future. He took over as Chair of the Sustainable Development Commission, UK, from 2000 until 2009. This is not all; Porritt has authored a few books, which readers describe as knowledgeably prophetic in content.

3. Werner Weiss

His AEE INTEC (Austrian Research Institute – Institute for Sustainable Technologies) has been involved with solar energy projects since the early 1980s. The major focus is on thermal power and energy efficiency. Although he works as a lecturer at the Vienna University of Technology, Weiss sets aside time for attending board meetings of the European Technology and Innovation Platform on Renewable Heating and Cooling. The International Energy Agency has taken him on board of the Executive Committee of the Solar Heating and Cooling Program.

4. Dr Sara Walker

She has numerous conference papers and journal articles to her credit, that cover a variety of topics on renewables and renewable energy systems. She is also a public speaker of repute, focusing on the ill effects of carbonization. She believes that renewables have a wonderful future, specifically if they come into play via novel power generation and distribution installations. Dr. Walker is heavily into research and the creation of innovative programs too. Since 2015, she has been working as a senior lecturer at the School of Engineering, Newcastle University, UK.

5. Richard Perez

An expert on solar power, Perez has authored more than 250 book chapters, conference papers and journal articles. He also owns US patents linked to load management with photovoltaics and energy storage. Organizations such as the American Solar Energy Society, the International Solar Energy Society, USDOE, the Velux Foundation and several others have conferred prestigious awards on him. If this is not all, he serves on the Boards of various establishments too. Currently, he is engaged in research on solar energy at the Atmospheric Sciences Research Center, University of Albany.

6. Christoph Brunner

He holds several important positions across the globe. For instance, the International Energy Agency (IEA) has appointed him as the operating agent for SHC (solar heating and cooling) Tasks 49 and 62. Similarly, UNIDO considers him an expert in the arena of energy efficiency. Brunner is the project coordinator for various global solar energy projects. Presently he heads the Industrial Processes and Energy Systems department at AEE INTEC.

7. Daniel Mugnier

He is TESOL’s innovative engineer. This solar engineering company in France utilizes his expertise in creating solar thermal systems to advantage. Mugnier also tackles diverse research and development projects for local and international bodies. The renowned author and passionate speaker is a prominent figure at international events covering solar energy. Even the International Energy Agency has given him certain tasks to handle.

8. Nic Van Der Westhuizen

Since 2012, he has been assisting in setting up solar farms in Zambia, South Africa, Kenya, Ghana, and Mozambique. His employers were IPP or independent power producers. He has also been working on solar projects for other commercial clients. For some time, he was GeoSun Africa’s project manager. Westhuizen wishes to learn more and use his education for the good of society.

9. Rose M. Mutiso

She is the co-founder of the Mawazo Institute. The establishment trains African women to become inspiring and knowledgeable leaders. She is also the director of research for the Energy for Growth Hub. Her team of experienced professionals strives to help Asian and African nations find feasible solutions for tackling energy deficits. The energy scientist’s bold speeches focus on the urgency of developing solar and wind farms, geothermal power stations, etc.

10. Gianluca Ambrosetti

Airlight Energy is in Switzerland. Ambrosetti heads the research department for this establishment. It offers innovative technologies for capturing and storing solar energy. He believes that there are simple solutions to the toughest of challenges. For instance, he is working on a solar generator created from simple raw materials, such as aluminium foil, mirrors and concrete.
